Los Angeles City Lifeguard Jobs

In order to qualify for a lifeguard position within Los Angeles City Department of Recreation and Parks, you must successfully complete all physical/written exams and training.

L.A. City Lifeguards pride themselves on their level of commitment and abilities to perform all aspects of their job. The following openings are for seasonal part-time positions only.

Information on tryouts and training is listed below, for both the pool division and open water division. They are entirely seperate interviews, tryouts, and training and independent of one another.

The next L.A. City Open Water Lifeguard Tryouts will be held on TBD 2013 at Cabrillo Beach at 0900.

Open Water Lifeguard 1 current salary: $21.84/hr
Open Water Lifeguard 2 current salary: $24.94/hr

Pool Lifeguard current salary: $15.06/hr
Seasonal Pool Manager 1 current salary: $17.66/hr
Seasonal Pool Manager 2 current salary: $23.20/hr
